Loan Prepayment
See how a lump sum changes your loan.
How this works
New EMI = (Balance − Prepayment) × r × (1+r)ⁿ ÷ [(1+r)ⁿ − 1]
A lump-sum prepayment reduces the outstanding balance immediately. Keeping the tenure fixed gives a lower EMI; keeping the EMI fixed gives a shorter tenure — both are recalculated using the standard EMI formula on the reduced balance.
Amounts are rounded for display; calculations use full precision. This utility is for planning and is not financial advice.
